Welcome to our house of chi's, the home of high quality AKC registered Jakara Chihuahua's.

We are a small hobby breeder and active show exhibitor located in Portland Oregon. We are proud members and in good standings with The Chihuahua Club of America and the Evergreen Chihuahua Club.

Although we have bred and shown toy dogs since the mid 1960's, we had the joy of meeting our first Chihuahua in 1997. This little one Tabbi captivated our hearts, her saucy little expression and large dog attitude is a sight to behold. Tabbi is now the matriarch of our delightful Chihuahua family.
 

Ever since that first introduction my husband and I have continued to share a mutual love and devotion for the wonderful Chihuahua breed exclusively for over 10 years.

Jakara Chihuahua's continually strive to conform to the highest of the AKC Chihuahua breed standard by carefully planning each breeding, assuring sound but graceful body structures, happy, alert little temperaments and superior health.
